The Colonial Swim League's 50th season got off to a good start today under warm sunny skies, with one League record already falling.
In the Girls 8&Under 25M Backstroke, CountrySide standout Janika Perezous made it official this week, bettering the previous 34-year old record of 20.20 with a sparkling time of 19.97. Congratulations, Janika!
There were a couple of very interesting meets today. Trailing by 41 points at CountrySide after event 46, Sequoia Farms managed to win the final six relays and the Stingrays edged the Waves, 222 to 221.
And down at Burke Centre, the Penguins and Franklin Farm exchanged the lead 10 times, including 6 times during the relays, before the Froggers eventually prevailed, 226 to 218.
